Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Newborn Nursery
Responsibilities
Morning rounding in the Newborn Nursery
Daily evaluation and management of healthy newborns
Collaboration with pediatricians, nursing staff, and OB teams
Documentation of newborn exams, care plans, and discharge summaries
Call coverage from home, limited to phone triage and urgent needs
Supporting family education and ensuring high‑quality, family‑centered care
Qualifications
Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing
Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP Primary Care or PNP Acute Care)
Active Michigan RN and NP licensure (or eligibility)
Experience with newborn care preferred
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
