The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive primary care services in a community health setting, under the direction of the Medical Director.
Key Responsibilities
Requires current NP certification, Iowa licensure, and board certification in family practice or similar.
Preferably has at least two years of experience serving underserved or low-income populations, with bilingual English/Spanish skills highly desirable.
Performs health assessments, manages acute and chronic conditions, and promotes preventive care across all age groups.
Collaborates with healthcare team members, refers complex cases, and participates in protocol development.
Provides after-hours call coverage, completes documentation, and engages in continuing education and quality improvement activities.
Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting patients, and performing procedures, with accommodations available if needed. The work environment involves minimal to moderate noise and exposure to health hazards. Candidates must demonstrate visual and hearing abilities sufficient to perform job functions.
