Job Title Fleet Automotive Maintenance Technician II – Mid‑Level
Job Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance—oil, filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and mechanical inspections.
Diagnose and repair OBD II systems, brakes, tires, suspensions, electrical systems, and engine/drive‑line components.
Maintain and repair related equipment, such as cable trailers and laptop docking stations.
Keep shop area clean, dispose fluids safely, and comply with safety standards.
Create and maintain vehicle history and maintenance records; up‑fit new vehicles as required.
Execute complex repairs, advanced diagnostics, and moderate fabrication tasks.
Coordinate with vendors for parts and perform roadside assistance when needed.
Design and fabricate custom equipment, welding when necessary.
Troubleshoot and repair complex hydraulic systems, generators, hybrids, and on‑board computer systems.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of related vehicle service experience (or higher education or certification beyond a HS diploma).
Minimum 3 years vehicle service and repair experience; 1 year customer service experience preferred.
4 A.S.E. certifications preferred.
Valid driver’s license with standard and automatic transmission capability.
Experience working safely in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
Current DOT medical card with at least 4 months remaining, otherwise DOT physical and physical screening required.
21 years or older and legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Compensation Hourly base rate $28.37 – $42.60. Salary may vary by location and candidate qualifications. Eligible for additional compensation such as commission and incentive programs.
