Electrical Engineer II
who loves solving complex challenges and making an impact. In this role, you’ll lead electrical power and lighting design for a variety of exciting projects, applying your expertise in NEC standards, energy codes, and lighting principles. You’ll collaborate with architects, clients, and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions from concept through construction. Job Responsibilities
Lead a client/client team (1-5 staff) or small to medium projects, or portions of a large project utilizing experience in lighting design, power design, and knowledge of NEC and other national standards; solve most design challenges that arise on a project.
Apply energy codes to power and lighting design with minimal oversight.
Work independently on several projects and/or client types with minimal supervision from a senior engineer or designer.
Understand photometric calculations, lighting design, and select lighting systems and controls for projects.
Deliver completed construction documents on most client and/or project types, providing high level of service throughout all phases of design.
Communicate effectively to be seen as highly knowledgeable and an expert when discussing design challenges or projects, both internally and externally.
Apply knowledge of NEC and other national standards to most project types, with little to no oversight from a senior engineer or designer.
Understand photometric calculations, lighting design, fault‑current calculations, 1‑Line diagrams, and select lighting systems and controls on most projects and client types.
Job Duties
Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit; train employees on company standards, drafting techniques, and technical questions related to electrical design, NEC, or other national standards.
Collaborate with architects and other engineers to develop construction documents based on client requirements, including most project management and construction administration functions.
Perform a high level of quality control on own projects and others for final review by Engineer of Record.
Maintain direct client contact.
Serve as Engineer of Record, with approval from Director or Executive, on simple projects or rollout clients.
Be licensed.
Write specifications for most project types.

Education: BSEE from an ABET‑accredited engineering program.
Licensure: Licensed Professional Engineer.
