Position Summary The Department of Pediatrics seeks to hire a Clinical Faculty Position to join the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (GPAM) at the University of North Carolina. This position will provide clinical care to the pediatric and adolescent population in both the outpatient and inpatient settings. The position will work closely with the Section Heads of General Pediatrics, Child Maltreatment, and Adolescent Medicine within GPAM. This open rank, open track position, with FTE between 0.5 and 1.0, is appointed in the School of Medicine at UNC Chapel Hill.
Clinical Efforts May Include a Combination Of The Following
Pediatric diagnostic care, with potential for medical education and academic activities.
Child Abuse inpatient consultations at the UNC Medical Center.
Inpatient care at the Youth Behavioral Hospital (YBH) in Butner, NC. The YBH facility is a newly established and innovative 50 plus patient child and adolescent psychiatric hospital with four specialized units serving children and families. This faculty member will function as a core member of the medical team providing services for adolescents at YBH.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements M.D.; Board certified/eligible in Pediatrics.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience Clinical experience or training in outpatient and inpatient settings. Experience in medical education and/or contributions to academic scholarship.
