Job Title: Activity Leader – Summer Camp Counselor
Town of Palm Beach – Summer Camp (June 8 – July 31)
Overview The Town of Palm Beach invites applicants to join the Camp Palm Beach team as an Activity Leader. This role involves organizing, leading, and supervising a variety of indoor and outdoor games and activities for children of all ages, ensuring safety, and creating a memorable camp experience.
Responsibilities
Organize and execute daily planned activities under guidance of the Recreation Specialist/Program Manager.
Lead indoor/outdoor games, arts & crafts, STEM experiments, and special programs.
Assist with set‑up, implementation, and cleanup for special events.
Supervise participants and monitor safety during field trips and off‑site activities.
Maintain daily cleanliness and safety of indoor and outdoor facilities.
Assist with basic office duties such as answering phones and registering participants.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience working with children in a supervisory capacity preferred.
Patience, understanding, and ability to lead and supervise a variety of games and activities.
Customer service experience and ability to enforce policies.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Compensation Starting pay rate: $17.00 per hour.
Training Dates June 1 – June 6; 9:30 am – 4:00 pm; Saturday: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.
Working Dates June 8 – July 31.
Typical Hours Monday – Friday 8:45 am – 3:45 pm; early and extended camp hours available to those interested.
