According to established procedures cleans and services building areas. Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies, in and around hospital departments, and performs a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition. Job Responsibilities
Project work on floors using automatic floor equipment. Total patient room cleaning following established procedures. Moves equipment and furniture for relocation of offices, for cleaning and rearrangement. Trash removal and recycling. May collect hazardous/medical waste. Clean entrances and parking lot of debris and trash. Provides on-call coverage for weekends and holidays as scheduled. Responds to emergency codes. Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Prior experience performing cleaning operations in a hospital, industrial or office setting, with minimum three months training preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to operate cleaning devices, i.e., automatic floor equipment, buffers, commercial vacuums, mops and wringers, and other necessary tools, products and supplies.
