Base pay range: $22.50/hr - $25.00/hr

About The Role Perform tests and/or measurement tasks for the ballistics department. Ballistics: Testing of energetic and inert projectiles, typically bullets, missiles and bombs.

Core Responsibilities

Test Setup – Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify and prepare test equipment.

Perform Testing – Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data.

Data Processing – After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager.

Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown – Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, and organizing supplies.

Other – Perform other duties as assigned.

Core Requirements

Under general supervision; completes intermediate technical and mechanical procedures, regularly interacts with clients, troubleshoots and reworks standard tests. Intermediate interpretation and analysis of test results.

Comprehensive knowledge of ballistics & mechanical principles, working knowledge of basic safety practices.

Able to use all standard Ballistics equipment; able to accurately capture necessary data; able to understand AC/DC circuits.

Basic MS Office skills.

Minimum Education And Experience

HS Diploma or GED; AA or AS OR trade school for ballistics testing certificate OR military ballistics training strongly preferred.

2+ Years of experience.

Working Conditions Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises.

Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
