Responsibilities
Performs day‑to‑day employee health duties such as:
Pre‑employment health evaluations
Yearly and follow‑up TB skin tests
Immunizations according to employee health practices and policies and procedures
Assistance/care to employees as needed
Maintains employee health processes such as Workers’ Compensation, BBF exposure records (NHSN), TB and other exposures
Drives assigned company vehicle in compliance with all laws and regulations
Patient Care
Day‑to‑day employee health duties (same as above)
Customer Service
Perform assigned duties while demonstrating willingness, ability and team spirit to provide optimal customer satisfaction according to behavioral standards.
Communication
Good interpersonal skills and reflect a positive, caring attitude toward staff and customers. Manages up other departments and co‑workers in other areas.
Recordkeeping
Assists with projects as required by the Director (individually & team‑oriented).
Education
Maintains current RN licensure, TB Certification, and AHA CPR.
Maintains competency by staying informed of changing trends and completing assigned educational programs and CBTs.
Continued learning to support the NMHS Mission/Vision/Values.
Regulatory
Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines/Practices.
Complies with local, state, federal policies, procedures, guidelines, regulations, laws, statutes.
Requirements
Associate Degree in Nursing required.
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Mississippi required.
Certified by the Mississippi State Department of Health in TB surveillance and skin testing preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a clinic setting preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication required.
Comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice preferred.
Must be able to operate various office equipment required.
Good interpersonal skills required.
