Production Finance Analyst
Duration: 10 Months with possible extension
Base Pay Range $30.00/hr - $35.00/hr
About the Role We are seeking a detail‑oriented
Production Finance Analyst
to support end‑to‑end financial operations across multiple productions. This role partners closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate financial tracking, reporting, and compliance throughout the production lifecycle. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced production environment and brings strong analytical and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Partner cross‑functionally with
Content Planning, Production, Business Affairs, Creative, Post‑Production, Tax, and Content Accounting
teams to support production finance operations.
Collaborate with
Production Accountants, production services companies, and Producers
to ensure smooth financial workflows.
Process show funding and talent payments in accordance with contractual terms and payment schedules.
Manage
Accounts Payable , including reviewing, verifying, and processing production invoices.
Track show fundings, talent payments, invoices, and payment schedules with accuracy.
Support supplier and vendor onboarding and setup.
Track budget drafts, document revisions, and perform comparative financial analysis as needed.
Assist with data reconciliation for consolidated Production Finance reporting.
Prepare and post journal entries in the accounting system.
Review and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Ensure production cost reports are submitted on time and ahead of scheduled cost report meetings.
Assist with tracking and forecasting development and production costs.
Onboard production services company accounting teams to internal policies and procedures.
Maintain and update show‑related data in internal systems.
Support audits of production accounts payable, journal entries, and payroll records.
Contribute to ad‑hoc financial projects and analysis as required.
Qualifications & Experience
3+ years
of experience in production finance, accounting, or a related financial role.
Prior experience supporting
animated content
is a plus, but not required.
Background in
Assistant Production Accounting
is highly desirable; candidates with strong financial analysis or modeling experience are also encouraged to apply.
High level of intellectual curiosity with a strong results‑driven mindset.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and data entry.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven production environment.
Self‑motivated, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Demonstrates the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethics.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced proficiency in
Excel or Google Sheets , including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Finance, or a related field
preferred, but not required.
