Lead Student Pastor – Pinelake Church, Starkville Campus
The Lead Student Pastor will lead, shepherd, and guide the spiritual development of the Student Ministry through the Student Ministry Staff and servant leaders.
The Lead Student Pastor will serve as the primary leader to bring the Pinelake vision to life in Student Ministry as we learn from Christ, live in Christ and lead others to Christ.
The Lead Student Pastor will work to train up leaders and students who actively take the gospel into their schools and homes.
General Responsibilities
Work in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of Pinelake Church.
Assist the Director of ministry to work toward excellence in all areas of ministry.
As part of the overall Starkville staff team, participate in campus‑wide ministry events and the shepherding of our Starkville faith family.
Basic personal responsibilities:
Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, meditation, and practicing L3.
Maintain proper priorities in your home including your spouse and children (if married and/or with children).
Faithfully support the ministries of Pinelake by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you.
Maintain active participation in community.
Reflect a growing awareness and practice of personal Emotional Healthy Spirituality.
Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Pinelake Church (Colossians 3:23‑24).

Specific List of Duties and Responsibilities
Lead, shepherd, and guide the Student Ministry Staff team as each learns from Christ, lives in Christ, and leads others to Christ.
Execute the vision, mission, and direction of the campus and One Church as it relates to the entire Student Ministry.
Coordinate, guide, and adapt, in partnership with One Church, all curriculum, events, and worship for Student Ministry.
Collaborate with the Student Ministry team to create and implement a strategic plan to develop relationships at area campuses and to schedule a consistent, purposeful Pinelake student ministry presence on campuses.
Develop the student ministry staff and servant leaders to engage and equip students to become multiplying disciples who learn from Christ, live in Christ, and lead others to Christ as ministers of the gospel within their schools and homes.
Support and establish a strategic plan for the assimilation of students and families into the ministries of the church.
Create and lead a vibrant discipleship plan for parents of students, providing regular on‑ramps for parenting growth and development.
Actively and intentionally participate in all three branches of student ministry through teaching and presence as leadership support.
Provide oversight for and leadership to Pinelake's Our House Promise strategy within Student Ministry.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise exempt and non‑exempt personnel.
Supervise and coordinate work with servant‑leaders.

The individual must have basic mathematical skills, knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting, and budget and expense monitoring.
The individual must have the ability to read financial information and spreadsheets.
Reasoning Ability The ability to simultaneously conceptualize and plan multiple tasks; project outcomes using different implementation strategies; and apply creative and innovative thinking to problem situations is required.
The ability to work effectively and efficiently under stressful conditions to ensure deadlines are met is essential.

Associate Pastor – Discipleship Ministries – Sunset Community Church We are seeking a full‑time Associate Pastor who is spiritually and emotionally healthy and wants to use their gifts to help us make disciples both in our church and in our community.
The man God is calling will be uniquely gifted to lead, develop, and equip leaders for family discipleship at Sunset and will partner with our Lead Pastor to help us strengthen our discipleship pathway.
They will have a heart to see men, women, and children become more like Jesus and the unique ability to build and strengthen systems, processes, and leaders towards that end.
Responsibilities
Lead Discipleship Ministry Leaders (Sunset Kids and Youth Leaders) and partner with these key leaders to help us support parents and disciple kids of all ages.
Directly oversee Community Groups, providing support, leadership, and active multiplication in line with the overall vision of the groups.
Give attention and prayer to the health of these leaders and be committed to their personal discipleship.
Develop and equip new ministry leaders in these areas as opportunity, need and circumstance requires.
Partner with these leaders to help them carry out a compelling vision and plan for becoming disciples of Jesus, not just in our programs but all of life.
Help these leaders recruit, develop, equip, and empower servants for these discipleship efforts.
Enhancing the Discipleship Pathway
Partner with the Lead Pastor and the Leadership Team to clarify and strengthen our discipleship pathway and recruit, develop, and equip key leaders for this pathway.
Lead, develop, and support key leaders for our men’s, women’s, youth and children’s ministries, and other ministries that supplement our mission.
Help to lead and develop leaders for our Community Groups and other similar group ministries.
Support our Community Groups and their leaders through coaching, equipping, and resourcing as needed.
General Pastoral Work
Partner with the Lead Pastor and other leaders to provide pastoral care and shepherding for the church.
Preach semi‑regularly (6‑12 times a year).
Labors in prayer for the church.
Perform other duties as assigned/needed by the Lead Pastor.
Qualifications
Committed to following Jesus and to their own formation into His image.
A disciple of Jesus who has made disciples of Jesus.
Qualified to be an elder according to 1 Timothy 3:1‑7 and Titus 1:5‑9.
Willing to join and engage with Sunset Community Church as an active member.
Aligned with Sunset’s theological beliefs, distinctives, and ministry vision.
Excited to partner together to pursue Sunset’s mission to “love God, love people, and love our city”.
Education and Experience – 3+ years of pastoral leadership experience. – Bachelor's degree; Seminary Degree preferred; but open to leaders God is calling who have taken a non‑traditional path, depending on experience.
