Field Technician II (Overnight Travel Required) – Oxnard, CA
Our client is seeking a qualified Field Technician to join their team and provide end-user support. This position will require overnight travel from Sunday to Thursday, onsite at client location during normal business hours with travel overnight. OT may be required. Requires a valid state driver\'s license (Real ID compliant), clean MVR, and a reliable vehicle.
Duties And Responsibilities
Project focus on upgrading advanced commercial printers at retail locations
Replace printer parts, paper feed, power supply, change print head, toner drum, transfer belt, and image unit
Perform complex upgrades and troubleshooting of printers, servers, hard drives, and monitor systems
Provide on-site technical support to internal or external customers for complex or escalated technology issues on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment
Install and remove equipment and systems as required
Manage day-to-day operation of applications and equipment and serve as a customer contact on technical and service-related problems
Ensure that schedules, transmissions, on-line systems, and problems are resolved accurately and in a timely manner
Serve as a liaison between customers, departments, and within the organization to lead problem resolution and change management
Determine the most cost-effective repair/resolution to minimize customer downtime
Skills And Qualifications
Minimum 2 to 3+ years of field service experience, specifically in commercial printers
Willingness to travel extensively by plane and/or car
Commercial/large printer experience; Lexmark printer certification is a plus
Experience working on commercial printers with electronics/mechanical aptitude
Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, networks, databases, and network security concepts/tools
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook)
Experience with multi-platform Windows OS
Knowledge of Rufus, Windows Server imaging, photo printing, troubleshooting system connectivity, Windows configuration
Ability to work independently in a retail environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Excellent customer service and professionalism
Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders, leadership, partners, team members, and customers
Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
Wage Range The rate for this position is between $18.76 - $27.50 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
