Additional/Dual Appointment – Clinical Social Worker, San Quentin Rehabilitation Center (SQRC) California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS). Job Code: JC-484395. Position#: 095-220-9872-XXX. Work location: Marin County, San Quentin State Prison.

Job Summary Part‑time (up to 40 hrs/month) clinical social worker support in a correctional setting. 12‑month limited term, may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.

Appointment Details

Hourly rate: $50.07 – $60.98. New to State candidates hired at minimum salary.

Time worked is not considered overtime; outside normal hours.

Dates and hours determined by hiring location.

Responsibilities Clinical social workers currently employed by the state of California may serve in a distinct role from their primary job, providing coverage and maintaining cooperative relationships within the department, other agencies, healthcare partners, and communities.

Minimum Requirements

Clinical Social Worker, Health/Correctional Facility – Safety classification.

Desirable Qualifications

Valid Associate Clinical Social Worker license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.
