Position Assistant Coach – Boys Lacrosse
Location Milford High School
Reports To Principal & Athletic Director
Starting Date March 2026
Qualifications
Minimum 21 years of age.
Demonstrate a proficiency in the sport.
Possess sound moral character.
Demonstrate an understanding of the relationship of the program to the athlete, total athletic program and the total school program.
Performance Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with head coach to plan and implement organized daily practice plans.
Suggest adaptations and modifications to coaching techniques, strategies, and game plans.
Promote and maintain positive public relations with parents and the community.
Help create an atmosphere conducive to good sportsmanship and player conduct.
Support preparation for each game in strategy and player motivation.
Comply with all HAC, DIAA, and school district policies.
Aid in communication of pre, post and in‑season information to players, parents, and school officials.
Help maintain and inventory all equipment and uniforms.
Monitor and evaluate academic performance of all athletes.
Assist in recommending purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms.
Assist in overseeing the safety of the facility or area in which the sport is conducted.
Perform other duties as assigned that relate to this position.
Terms of Employment 1 Year
Salary and Benefits Salary per the Milford School Board Policy and collective bargaining agreement.
Evaluation Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board’s policy on evaluation of professional personnel.
