Position Summary
Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance assignments, installations, troubleshooting/diagnostics, repair, safety, and other duties to support the Director of Facilities. Under limited supervision, the Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance tasks.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Conduct routine maintenance inspections of premises and equipment
Handle basic and extensive repairs and maintenance
Replace light bulbs, ballasts, and troubleshoot
Inspect heating and cooling systems
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
Perform routine maintenance on building (parking lot) interior and exterior, i.e., signage, pressure washing, painting, etc.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
Install new equipment and furniture
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Contact and schedule vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance
Oversee contractors providing professional tasks
Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
High School or GED, required
Previous experience in maintenance, required
