About this Position This non‑exempt full‑time role focuses on advancing AIJ’s mission by generating resources to support its three main programs: Immigration Justice, Language Interpreter Center, and Climate Justice.
Qualifications
Personal:
Excellent written and oral communication skills; self‑confident, dependable, and comfortable working with diverse, multicultural teams.
Education/Experience:
B.A. or higher in Development, Communications, or related field. Proven experience developing and executing fundraising strategies, donor stewardship, and public relations. Familiarity with social media, Excel, and data entry. Non‑profit experience preferred.
Ability to connect with funders and foster a diverse funding portfolio.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan.
Seek and lead fundraising opportunities aligned with AIJ’s goals.
Grow and strengthen AIJ’s network of partners and supporters.
Choose and maintain a donor database.
Update donor information, generate acknowledgement and thank‑you letters.
Foster relationships with major donors, foundations, and prospects.
Collaborate with the communications coordinator on fundraising communications.
Coordinate with program directors to identify development opportunities.
Organize events to maintain donor relationships and raise community awareness, including soliciting in‑kind support.
Participate in staff meetings and maintain reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary & Benefits $26.00/hr to $35.00/hr DOE with generous benefits: paid leave, medical, dental, life, short‑term and long‑term disability, vision, and retirement.
