WORK LOCATION: 7000 Celebration Way, Hope Hull, AL 36043
SCHEDULE: Must be flexible in transitioning from an 8-hour, 10-hour or a rotating 12-hour shift for 24/7 operation.
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and safety‑conscious Technical Operator to join our team. This role involves operating manufacturing equipment, supporting production processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will be flexible, possess strong collaboration skills, and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Essential Functions
Collaborate within a self‑directed team to plan, organize and execute daily production tasks with minimal supervision.
Rotate across multiple roles and responsibilities to support team flexibility, workflow efficiency, and cross‑training.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including problem‑solving, process optimization and quality control.
Take shared ownership of team performance metrics related to safety, quality, productivity and delivery targets.
Operate manufacturing equipment (rinser, filler, capper, labeler, case packer, palletizer) in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Perform ingredient and bulk liquid movements using SAP, including unloading/receiving, process orders and inventory management.
Maintain accurate logs and records as required by local regulations and company policies.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), perform tasks per the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), conduct in‑process quality checks and maintain food safety and housekeeping standards through 5S and general sanitation guidelines.
Conduct line changeovers, adhere to set‑up time reduction (SUTR) standards and perform pallet handling inspections.
Operate forklift and conduct preventative and predictive maintenance (PM) requirements.
Troubleshoot machinery issues, perform autonomous maintenance (AM) and support OEE improvement.
Support onboarding and training of new hires by sharing equipment knowledge across the site.
Follow safety protocols and apply required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Willingness to work any shift and necessary overtime as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Perform startup checks and end‑of‑shift procedures for machinery.
Error‑free loading/unloading of trailers; accurate record‑keeping (receiving tallies and QC documents).
Assist with loading and unloading of materials and ensure proper handling of hazardous materials.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas according to sanitation schedules.
Complete applicable SAP transactions for ingredient and bulk liquid moves.
Inspect, open, approve and unload containers of bulk products.
Proof, gauge and record receipt of incoming containers.
Maintain hydrostatic tank gauges and determine tank volumes in scale and volumetric tanks.
Filter products as needed and clean filters as necessary.
Manage logs per local law and TTB requirements.
Communicate with team members during high‑risk operations.
Add ingredients either by hand or automated systems in compliance with company formulas.
Initiate and complete records of bulk tanks and ingredient inventories for cycle counts.
Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on equipment.
Engage in continuous improvement activities and safety programs.
Support other production areas as needed, including bottling operations and general labor tasks.
Maintain site hygiene and safety compliance using cleaning tools.
Follow SOPs for handling high‑proof/hazardous liquids.
Complete forklift training and renew training license per schedule.
Proficient in SAP for material receipts, inventory management and cycle counts.
Report SAP discrepancies to manager.
Follow spill/incident reporting protocols.
Maintain tank inventory board and collect samples for lab quality checks.
Set up filtration skids for ambient or chilled filtration.
Support development of operational procedures and best practices to enhance line performance.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Indoor and outdoor work environments, subject to extreme temperatures, wet/slippery, and loud noise.
Regular exposure to moving machinery and vehicles; must be aware of surroundings.
Regularly lift, push, and pull weights up to 50 lb, occasionally up to 75 lb.
Must be able to stand, walk, climb, and bend for extended periods.
Perform repetitive tasks and maintain physical stamina throughout shifts.
Ability to climb stairs and work at heights on rail cars and tank trucks.
Skills and Qualifications
Early‑career professionals or recent graduates seeking foundational experience in the beverage industry.
Mechanically inclined with ability to learn and operate manufacturing equipment.
Good computer skills, Microsoft Office, and SAP.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of basic arithmetic.
Valid forklift operator's license or willingness to obtain one.
Preferred
Minimum 2‑year college degree or certificate from technical, trade or vocational school.
