Summary of Position The Shipping Assistant position is responsible for receiving finished goods for shipment to various warehouse locations. The role participates in a variety of material‑management functions including securing cartons, storing materials, and setting up departmental equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Secure cartons for storage
Load trucks and locate cartons to proper truck
Unload non‑conforming or returned materials and segregate in hold area
Tag pallets for proper location and identity
Provide packers with pallets
Set up wrapper and additional departmental equipment
Key in daily production loaded onto trailers
Wrap each finished pallet
Assist in departmental programs of safety and housekeeping
