Business Development Manager: Transportation Sales

Overview:
Excellent opportunity for a seasoned Transportation Salesperson seeking a challenge to earn $100,000+ with uncapped commission.
You must have success selling Transportation Services, Logistics, Regional Trucking, Drayage or 3PL services to Owners, project managers, Import/Export managers, logistics managers, and supervisors, warehouse managers, shipping & receiving managers. You have excellent listening and questioning skills, take a consultative approach, and excel at closing business, even when your solution isn’t the “cheapest.”
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience as:
Sales professional with exceptional knowledge and understanding of trucking, freight, and logistics
Master Prospector-identifying potential clients using research, networking, and cold calling to create a strong and solid pipeline
Identify, contact, and qualify new customers and grow revenue by understanding their transportation needs and implementing the DC Export Group solutions
Relationship builder, developing and growing long term relationships with key accounts ensuring retention and repeat business
CRM management and usage, keeping accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, next steps, and notes in CRM
To succeed in this role, you must have:
Proven track record of achieving sales goals
No “Need for Approval” or Call Reluctance
Entrepreneurial attitude—Not bothered by a “No;” you can find a way
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and track weekly and daily activity
Strong personal motivation and coachability
Excellent communication skills—verbal, listening and written
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
Excellent rapport with the internal team
We offer:
Base salary plus generous commission plan allowing targeted income of $115,000 or more by the end of the first year
