The Senior Project Manager role provides leadership and oversight for a wide range of land development and public works projects, encompassing site civil design, permitting, and project delivery. The position leverages strong stormwater and hydrologic/hydraulic expertise to support multidisciplinary efforts, while maintaining a broad scope that is not limited to stormwater‑focused practice.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related engineering discipline
Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas, or ability to obtain within 6 months
10-15 years of relevant land development engineering experience including the following:
Private‑sector commercial, residential, and mixed‑use land development
Preparing and reviewing engineering reports, civil construction plans, and permitting submittals
Coordinating with multiple design teams and managing client interactions
Providing land development engineering services in Texas
Stormwater and hydrologic/hydraulic expertise applied within broader land development projects
Demonstrated experience with client management, business development, and negotiating scope and fees
Overseeing complex permitting, construction plan production, and master planning efforts
7+ years of progressive project management experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring staff
Proficiency with relevant software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and common hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools
Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business‑related travel
Preferred Qualifications
Central Texas market experience, particularly the San Antonio and Austin regions
Familiarity with local and state permitting agencies and development regulations
Experience with proposal writing and client‑facing presentations
Experience delivering private site development and public works projects, including street, drainage, and utility design, as stand‑alone assignments or as part of multidisciplinary project teams
Compensation Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe‑benefits package. RESPEC is a 100% employee‑owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
