Position Summary:

This research coordinator will support day‑to‑day research activities such as data entry into REDCap, obtaining informed consents, and coding qualitative transcripts using MAXQDA. The role involves close collaboration with a team of four and offers experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methods. Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Position Key Accountabilities

Provide day‑to‑day project management coordination for research projects, including personnel, facilities, supplies, budgets, and timeliness.

Assist in the preparation of progress reports and grant proposals to private foundations and governmental agencies; work closely with the Office of Sponsored Projects on grant submissions.

Assist with budget preparation, initiate re‑budgeting requests as needed, authorize expenditures for multiple projects, and attend research‑planning meetings to prepare budget drafts for departmental leadership approval.

Prepare annual progress reports and applications for various committees and ensure that all staff has received appropriate training.

Maintain confidential records of collected data, ensuring accuracy and integrity, including patient data and departmental programmatic data.

Prepare draft reports and communications for departmental program/division leadership.

Interact with representatives from state, federal, and private agencies regarding proposals and funded projects.

Provide administrative direction and guidance to administrative staff within the department.

Review contracts and develop training as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Certification / Skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Working knowledge of MS Office.

Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant experience in lieu of education.

Minimum Experience Two (2) years of relevant experience. Equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement may substitute for required experience.

Physical Requirements Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
