Bus Driver
Join our elite team in San Diego, CA. As a Transdev Bus Driver, you will ensure safe, reliable, efficient, and comfortable transportation for our passengers while upholding professionalism and customer‑service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Execute safe operations by following routes, schedules, and safety protocols.
Provide excellent passenger care and assistance, ensuring smooth boarding and disembarkation.
Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, report maintenance issues, and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
Enforce seat‑belt use, emergency response, and regulatory compliance.
Report incidents, accidents, deviations, and overloads to dispatch.
Maintain a strong attendance record and knowledge of service‑area demographics.
Assist boarding of passengers using mobility aids and ensure proper securement.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
21 years or older.
Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional).
Excellent written and spoken communication with customer‑service skills.
Availability for mornings, days, evenings, weekends, split‑shifts, on‑call, and holidays.
Ability to obtain a commercial driver’s license and relevant certifications.
Subject to DOT drug testing and physical (49 CFR Part 40). Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, are not authorized for any reason.
Benefits
$21.50 per hour.
Vacation up to 14 days per year.
Paid sick leave: 8 hours monthly (full‑time) / 5 hours monthly (part‑time).
Medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days (full‑time); life insurance, 401(k) retirement benefits, and company holidays.
Physical Requirements
Work outside in varied temperature, weather, and humidity; 100% outdoors, alone and remote.
Sit for up to 6‑8 hours, walk long distances, often on uneven surfaces.
Push/pull up to 50 pounds; lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, or crouch occasionally.
Operate in heavy‑traffic areas, tolerate dust, fumes, and noise.
