Community Manager

to oversee the operational and financial success of residential properties and exceed resident service standards.

Position Purpose This safety-sensitive role is responsible for the overall operational and financial success of the residential property, managing and developing residential staff, ensuring high employee job satisfaction, and maintaining operational effectiveness during pre-designated office hours.

Key Contributions

Financial:

Administer leasing procedures to meet or exceed budget, control expenses through inventory and purchasing, report payroll accurately, collect revenue, manage rent collection and initiate unlawful detainer processes, and keep abreast of market trends.

Management, Recruiting & Staff Development:

Interview, screen, orient, train, and retain on-site employees; evaluate performance; promote teamwork and empower staff.

Property Appearance/Upkeep:

Maintain a neat, clean, and well-maintained property, oversee preventative maintenance schedules, and conduct daily inspections to ensure curb appeal and security.

Customer Service:

Maintain resident satisfaction standards, be available for emergencies, process leasing forms, maintenance orders, rent collection, and reporting.

Perform other duties as needed.

Position Requirements

Education:

High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in marketing or business preferred.

Experience:

One to three years of residential management or related experience, or a combination of education and experience.

Physical & Cognitive:

Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.

Driving:

If applicable, driver must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable motor vehicle record, reliable transportation, and be insurable at standard rates. Must provide proof of personal auto liability insurance when using company vehicles.

Successful completion of background investigation and drug screening required.
