Baystate Health is looking for an Operations Associate to join our team in Springfield, MA.
Schedule
Full time, 3rd Shift (Nights)
Hours: 7:00pm–7:30am
36 hours/week
Rotating holidays and weekends may be required. Shift Differential offered.

Qualifications
HS Diploma/GED
1–2 years experience in customer service (healthcare setting preferred)
Medical administrative experience strongly preferred
Ability to work rotating days, including weekends and holidays
Ability to multitask
Computer literate
Job Responsibilities
Bed Management: tracks, prioritizes, and assigns beds, coordinates admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Utilizes computer applications: OA Gold, CIS, BMD, PCM Auditor, PeopleSoft, Kronos, Staples.
Supports unit projects: payroll, committee participation, unit time schedules.
Communicates: provides shift handoff reports, contacts other departments, answers calls, places calls to MDs and ancillary departments.
Resource for hospitalists and teaching teams, assists with rounds and consults.
Greeter for new patients/families, assists other departments with information.
Maintains patient charts, prepares discharge records, updates logs, manages supply inventory.
Manages staffing schedules, places calls to replace unplanned vacancies, communicates with clinical supervisor.
Conforms to emergency procedures and documents supplies.
Education
GED or HiSET (Required)
Certifications
Basic Life Support – American Heart Association
