Pharmacy Customer Service Associate – Walgreens

Base pay range $16.00/hr – $18.00/hr
Responsibilities
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Register sales on assigned cash register and provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
Assist pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy, including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
Engage customers by greeting and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service, recommend items for sale, and handle cash, returns, and exchanges.
Maintain retail space by keeping counters and shelves clean, performing inventory, pricing merchandise, and storing products according to policies.
Perform pharmacy duties such as entering patient and drug information, counting and pouring medications, checking for interactions, and reporting errors to the pharmacist.
Assist pharmacists with scheduling, inventory management, claim processing, and compliance with regulations.
Handle telephone calls not requiring pharmacist attention, process third‑party claims, and support pharmacy operations.
Maintain compliance with state/local laws regarding regulated products and store asset protection techniques.
Construct displays, assist with food segregation, restock items, and maintain store equipment.
Provide customer service in the photo area and manage pickup responsibilities.
Assist with interior and exterior maintenance to ensure orderly appearance.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
Earn and maintain PTCB certification through designated training.
Attend training and complete performance‑level reviews requested by manager.
Keep knowledge and skills up to date in pharmacy and healthcare.
Basic Qualifications
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a retail environment (preferably Walgreens).
Good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
Computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.
PTCB certification.
