CRITICAL CARE TECHNICIAN-FMLH, FH - MICU (6NT)

US:WI:MILWAUKEE at Froedtert Hospital facility.

Shift Details:
Shift 4. 4 twelve‑hour shifts per month. Day and night shift availability. Holidays and weekends required.
Job Summary:
The Critical Care Technician (CCT), under the direction of a Registered Nurse, provides delegated age‑appropriate care in a culturally and ethnically sensitive manner in critical‑care units. The CCT assists patients with tasks outlined in their clinical competency assessment related to basic nursing skills, personal care skills, basic restorative services, and necessary critical‑care skills. The CCT performs skills taught during CNA training or learned during basic nursing courses at an accredited school for professional nurses. The CCT may be asked to provide continuous safety observation. This job reports to the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager of the assigned unit and RN on duty on each shift. Other duties as assigned.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Training:
Completion of the Critical Care Technician course or equivalent within 6 months of hire required.
Licensure:
Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification required, or enrollment in an accredited nursing program with documentation of basic nursing course completion and at least one acute care medical/surgical rotation. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent required within 90 days of hire.
