Description We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our Distribution business in Des Moines, IA. In this role you will make an impact in the following ways:

Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop

Perform maintenance and repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles

Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

Ongoing development and certifications on new and existing Cummins products

Maintain own tools

Responsibilities & Qualifications To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs, diagnostics

Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality

Demonstrates an understanding of access to engine repair process information sources

Understands after‑treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level

Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts

Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software

Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Education, Licenses & Certifications • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

• Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution

• Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)



Valid driver’s license and a clean 5‑year motor vehicle record

Experience • Minimal level of workshop experience required

• Basic knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

Required Skills

Communicates effectively

Ensures accountability

Mechanical knowledge of Cummins and industry standards, including safe work procedures and PPE

Repair and maintain mechanical/electrical products following guidelines and using required tools within standard repair time

Disassembles and assembles engines or power generators following guidelines

Inspects and replaces parts and components following re-use guidelines to minimize customer cost of ownership
