What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Respond to patient and guarantor inquiries regarding billing, payments, and insurance issues
Provide timely and accurate account analysis and resolution during initial contact
Verify and update patient demographic and fiscal information in billing systems
Document all interactions and account actions to maintain a clear audit trail
Collaborate with various departments to resolve complex billing issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
High School diploma or GED equivalent required
Effective communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
1-3 years of relevant experience in customer service or collections in a healthcare setting
Knowledge of Epic billing systems preferred
Ability to handle multiple inquiries and maintain high service standards
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Associate's Degree preferred
Experience in medical terminology and understanding of liability claims
Familiarity with billing and collections policies in a healthcare environment
Demonstrated ability to resolve issues independently
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient satisfaction
