About the Role The Program Specialist (Certified) will administer program activities that provide maximum benefits to campers and staff. The role includes acquiring certifications for activities, delivering Girl Scout programs to units and girls, conducting program planning and delivery, and creating new and exciting programs.

Position Responsibilities

Assume responsibility for physical health and safety and the mental welfare of the campers.

Be responsible for unit cleaning/activity at the end of each session and at the end of camp.

Act as ambassador for the unit and activity area.

Assist Tag Staff, Math and Science Center, and Kitchen Staff when not facilitating program activity/planning.

Keep records and make reports as required.

Makes every effort to have a strong, cohesive program to provide the best program and atmosphere for the campers.

Follow camp rules and regulations.

Help with other camp activities and kitchen tasks when needed.

Cleans and stores equipment at the end of summer.

Other duties may be reassigned or added as required.

What We Are Looking For

At least 18 years old to acquire necessary certifications.

Experience working with children.

Management and organizational skills.

Ability to teach and guide campers.

Effective communication with staff and campers.

Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self‑control.

Requirements

Must hold membership in the Girl Scout organization and subscribe to the tenets of the Girl Scout Promise and Law.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Ability to tolerate seasonal weather conditions.
