Job Description Safely operate forklift to unload, load, stack, and move materials between trailers, shipping docks, storage areas, and staging areas at production lines to maintain flow according to tight production schedules. Safely operate a clamp truck to follow proper handling of large paper rolls to prevent damage during transit throughout the building. Prepare shipments using forklifts and proper manual lifting techniques when necessary. Track and record inventory of materials handled. Knowledge and adherence to OSHA requirements, company/warehouse safety procedures, and equipment handling to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage. Assist with shipping tasks during downtime, including manual pallet jack operation or manual handling. Collaborate with shipping staff and supervisors.
Qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years of forklift or clamp truck operation experience required.
Must possess the adaptability to work in a fast‑paced environment with frequently changing demands and strong attention to detail with keen safety awareness.
Must be team‑oriented with good communication skills.
Physical Demands
Strength and stamina to move heavy materials, sometimes manually.
Squat, bend, reach, and lift up to 50lbs unassisted, following proper lifting techniques.
Vision (naked, corrected, or assisted) to read instructions, enter data, and operate all equipment safely.
Dexterity to handle packages and work with a computer keyboard and mouse.
Willingness to work in areas that are exposed to all four seasons of weather (i.e., loading docks).
