About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to provide executive nursing management, direction, and leadership. The CNO will be responsible for fostering a caring, service-oriented professional culture that emphasizes employee engagement, quality, patient safety, service excellence, and fiscal responsibility. This role involves serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the strategic positioning and operating effectiveness of the nursing practice. The ideal candidate will have a BSN and a Master’s degree in nursing or a related healthcare field, with a PhD or DNP in nursing preferred, and at least 7 years of progressive experience in senior nursing leadership within a large and complex healthcare setting.

Applicants for the CNO position at the company should have a strong background in nursing leadership, including staff development, mentoring, and coaching. The role requires excellent communication, presentation, and platform skills, as well as the ability to navigate a matrixed organizational structure. Experience in a Magnet-designated environment is highly valued. The CNO will also be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and for maintaining the company's commitment to the community and the most vulnerable citizens. Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse, or the ability to obtain it, is required, and National Nurse Executive Certification (ANCC NEA-BC) is preferred.
