Location Overview:Damariscotta is a charming coastal town in Maine, known for its scenic river views, vibrant arts community, and historic downtown. The peaceful surroundings offer a balanced lifestyle with access to outdoor activities, local dining, and cultural events, making it an appealing place to work and live. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the SCU/Intermediate Care Unit. Monitor and manage patients on ventilators and vasoactive drips. Utilize advanced equipment, including ventilators, ceiling lifts, plumb pumps, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and SCD boots. Maintain accurate Electronic Medical Records (EMR) using EPIC. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care. Float occasionally to Medical-Surgical units as required. Adhere to unit protocols and maintain professional standards with Navy Blue scrubs. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years experience. Proven competence in managing critically ill patients, specifically with vasoactive drips and ventilators. Experience working in ICU or SCU environments strongly preferred. Ability to maintain patient ratios between 1:1 to 4:1. Strong team player with proactive approach and high standards. Schedule: 12-hour shifts: 6 AM to 6 PM or 6 PM to 6 AM. Weekly guaranteed hours: 36. Weekend rotation: Every other weekend minimum. No call requirements during core hours.
