Job Overview We are seeking a
Senior Systems Engineer
to support the development and integration of
next-generation diagnostic and sequencing solutions . This is a
hands-on, individual contributor role
focused on end-to-end system integration across
wet-lab workflows, instrumentation, and data pipelines . You will collaborate closely with assay, software, hardware, and bioinformatics teams to ensure system-level performance, robustness, and scalability across complex, multi-disciplinary platforms.
Key Responsibilities Drive
system-level development and integration
across NGS and molecular diagnostic workflows Perform hands-on integration and troubleshooting of
sample prep, library prep, PCR, sequencing, and data transfer
workflows Partner with assay, software, and bioinformatics teams to ensure seamless end-to-end workflow integration Contribute to
system architecture, requirements definition, and specifications Design and execute
verification & validation (V&V)
test plans with full requirements coverage Apply
statistical analysis and Design of Experiments (DoE)
methodologies (JMP, ANOVA, regression) to optimize system performance Support post-launch investigations through
root cause and failure mode analysis Create and maintain system documentation including requirements, integration plans, and verification reports Identify opportunities for
automation, workflow simplification, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications Degree in
Systems Engineering, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering , or related field Senior-level industry experience : PhD + 5+ years
OR MS / BS + 10+ years Hands-on experience with sequencing workflows , including: Nucleic acid extraction Library preparation PCR / digital PCR NGS platforms Strong experience with
system integration and lab troubleshooting Proven use of
statistical tools & DoE
(JMP, regression, ANOVA) Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced R&D environment Preferred / Nice to Have Exposure to
bioinformatics or sequencing data pipelines
(QC, variant calling) Experience with
IVD or life sciences instrumentation Background in
microfluidics or semiconductor-based sensing platforms Scripting experience (Python, R, or similar) Interview Process Phone Screening Onsite Panel Interview Why Join Work on
