We are a respected mechanical and MEP contractor providing HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing solutions across commercial, healthcare, education, hospitality, mission-critical, and public-sector projects. Recognized for our detailed pre-construction planning and strong cost control, we continue to expand our footprint across the Dallas and Fort Worth market and are now seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team and support the continued growth of our estimating function.
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate mechanical and MEP estimates, bids, and cost plans, ensuring projects are priced competitively while maintaining profitability and quality standards. This role requires excellent analytical ability, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of mechanical systems and construction procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed mechanical and MEP estimates from drawings, specifications, and site information Review tender documentation to develop scopes of work and bill of materials Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations, leveling proposals for compliance and value Build and maintain estimating templates, cost databases, and historical pricing information Coordinate with project managers and engineering teams during pre-construction handover Attend client and consultant meetings to present bid assumptions and clarifications Identify risks and opportunities within tenders, proposing alternative solutions where appropriate Support change order pricing and cost advice for live projects Ensure all bids comply with Texas building codes, local authority requirements, and company standards Assist with workload planning to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
Requirements: Proven experience as an xsgimln Estimator within HVAC, mechanical, or MEP contracting Strong understanding of mechanical systems, take-off processes, and construction procurement Excellent organisational, numerical, and communication skills Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced Dallas construction market Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred OSHA certification is advantageous Knowledge of Texas and Dallas building regulations and tender processes is highly desirable
