Administrative Assistant/Event Coordinator

We are seeking a committed part-time Administrative Assistant/Event Coordinator to join a team in Middletown, Delaware. In this position, you will support a range of administrative duties and assist with event coordination, including occasional travel for book signings and meet-and-greet events. Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support by managing schedules, organizing documents, and maintaining efficient office workflows.
  • Coordinate logistics for events, including book signings and meet-and-greet sessions, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Respond to inbound calls and emails, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Perform accurate data entry tasks to update and maintain records.
  • Assist with receptionist duties, such as greeting guests and managing correspondence.
  • Utilize social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook to promote events and company initiatives.
  • Prepare reports and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite tools.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines and project goals are met.
  • Travel to event locations up to twice a month to oversee setup and provide on-site assistance.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Requirements:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative roles or similar positions.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram for business-related activities.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
    • Willingness to travel locally up to twice a month.
    • High level of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.
