As a Substitute Classroom Aide, you will work alongside classroom teachers to provide essential support to students with special needs, helping to foster their academic and personal growth. Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, from enhancing the regular curriculum to offering personalized assistance to students.

Commonly referred to as school aides, teacher assistants, or instructional aides, Substitute Classroom Aides play a vital role in the educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional support to individual students or small groups.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and overall supervision.
• Help with administrative tasks such as preparing materials and setting up equipment.
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, field trips, and other school activities.
• Attend to the physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs of students.
• Support students with special needs by implementing their IEPs/504 Plans.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school administration.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).

Compensation: $13-$22/hour
