Job Summary The ESH hearing coordinator acts as the liaison between ESH and the court system for all 50 counties served by the hospital. The position is responsible for coordinating weekly court hearings within the hospital and ensuring timely completion of all court documentation by ESH staff. This includes civil commitment, guardianship, and other court documents completed by providers. The hearing coordinator maintains and updates records of court processes related to ESH and its patients. With ESH leadership, also serves as a liaison to UK Legal Counsel, ensuring appropriate expertise is involved in answering legal questions.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Completion of high school diploma or GED , experience preferred. Must have a valid Driver’s License. The employee shall become familiar with HIPAA regulations and do their utmost to protect all protected health information ( PHI ) and other personal or sensitive information within their trust in the course of state business by applying appropriate safeguards and sharing only the information required to deliver agency services. Any personal or sensitive information overheard or seen by the employee will be kept confidential by not sharing it with others, on or off the work-site grounds. Must have computer competency in approved systems. Must have excellent customer service skills.

Preferred Education/Experience Prefer three years experience in office/clerical work.
