Provides customer services hospital‑wide to all customer sets (visitors, patients, students, business partners and workforce) through professional phone, computer and personal communication. Supports the visitor management process through accurate implementation of policies and procedures, electronic medical records and visitor software. Performance of other ancillary duties as assigned. Front desk is staffed Monday - Sunday with morning shifts from 7am-4:30pm. This position requires two shifts a month to be picked up.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet all customer sets (visitors, patients, students, business partners and workforce) in a courteous and professional manner.
Provide courteous and accurate phone retrieval/transfer, timely reading and responding to emails and accurate use of Vocera to communicate with staff.
Work in tandem with the Concierge to provide strong customer service and meeting the needs of all customer sets.
Conduct appropriate visitor registration process and proper identification of all visitors/persons allowed in the building.
Proficient in the use of computer software programs to support the visitor management plan.
Provide front desk training to Public Security Officers and new hires.
Handle sensitive information in a confidential and timely manner.
Perform accurate reading and documentation of PPD skin tests.
Responsible for the management, documentation and maintenance, including but not limited to: building access, lost and found, cabs, meal ordering, metering mail, copy machine and petty cash.
Provide administrative support for routine and special projects to all service areas.
All other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
HS Diploma
Preferred experience in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
Ability to work as a team and independently in a fast pace environment, manage multiple and changing priorities simultaneously, demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
One year of clerical, receptionist or customer service experience preferred; multiple phone line experience; word processing speed of 35-40wpm.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS These include stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, grasping, pulling, pushing, standing, carrying and lifting of light loads (up to 35 lb.) as necessary.
