Help seniors remain independent in their own homes!
Do you love to help people in your community? The Volunteer Chore Program needs volunteers to assist seniors with regular grocery shopping and other day‑to‑day chores. This can be a no‑contact volunteer opportunity open to volunteers of all ages, as long as an adult is present. The program serves both Island and Whatcom counties, connecting volunteers to low‑income older adults (60 and over) and adults with functional disabilities to help them remain independent in their own homes. Our volunteers help veterans and other community members with yard care, grocery shopping, prescription pickup, dog walking, and housekeeping.
