Job Summary The Grease Route Driver is responsible for operation of a grease collection truck to collect cooking oil while providing quality service to our customers.
Responsibilities
Pump or load grease containers; ensure cleanliness of container and surrounding area; return container with screen and lock secured; note any damages to container or corrial area; properly complete route ticket with customer signature.
Responsible for established route as assigned.
Responsible for company vehicle; keeps vehicle in clean condition.
Conduct all safety checks, inspections of vehicle; operate vehicle under state/federal/local regulations and in accordance with company policy & procedures; observe all company safety rules.
Attendance at all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee.
Maintain excellent customer relations by presenting professional appearance and attitude.
Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies (route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, accident reports, mileage reports, service forms, etc).
Maintain and update vehicle condition report on a daily basis.
All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 21 years of age with clean MVR.
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating similar vehicle to grease route truck.
Current CDL holder with proper endorsements.
Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/
Preferred Qualifications
Prior route experience within a customer‑oriented environment preferred.
Works well with others in a team environment.
Dependable; reliable; ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
Good math and communication skills.
Knowledge of safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle and general maintenance.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands The role requires exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environments such as high noise level, strong odors, heat and cold, bio‑hazardous conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, and electrical hazards. It involves traveling to off‑site locations, handling hazardous materials, and operating a vehicle in compliance with state and federal regulations. Physical tasks may include lifting up to 50 pounds and performing duties that involve sitting, walking, using hands, stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and balancing. Ability to detect and communicate about hazardous conditions and use senses effectively is essential.
