Description ATB Therapeutics is a Biotech company developing a cutting‑edge technology to produce a new kind of targeted therapy designed to treat cancers and auto‑immune diseases. ATB Therapeutics has two Belgian R&D sites located in the Novalis Science Park (Marche‑en‑Famenne) and the VIB incubator (Ghent). The company closed a successful Series A financing round of Euro 54 million in November 2024, and is backed by leading European and US investors. To support our growing team, we are looking for an Accounting Manager to join us in the Marche‑en‑Famenne site, helping us to smoothly run our finance processes. We are looking for a great, enthusiastic team player with an eye for detail and a knack for numbers.
Your Role As Accounting Manager at ATB Therapeutics, you will oversee the full accounting cycle, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, month‑end and year‑end closings, and financial reporting. You will play a key role in process optimization, ERP implementation, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards. This position is ideal for a professional with strong analytical skills and experience in a dynamic, international environment.
Responsibilities
Manage and supervise Accounts Payable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Lead or actively participate in ERP implementation and automation projects.
Develop and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and recommendations.
Ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in accounting or audit, preferably at a Big 4 firm or in an international environment, or in a similar position in a biotech or start‑up company.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and involvement in implementation projects.
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with automation tools.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
Proficient in English; knowledge of VAT/GST and multi‑currency environments is a plus.
