Sales Account Manager
– Rocky Mountain Laboratories, covering all of Utah About Us Rocky Mountain Laboratories is a clinical laboratory providing comprehensive laboratory services. What We Seek We’re seeking a driven, relationship-focused Sales Account Manager to expand and manage toxicology and diagnostic service partnerships across Utah, including Weber, Davis, Salt Lake, Utah, and Washington counties, with travel throughout the state as needed. This field-based role focuses on building long-term relationships within key toxicology referral markets such as pain management, behavioral health, psychiatry, addiction treatment centers, MAT clinics, IOP/PHP programs, rehabilitation facilities, and outpatient physician groups. The ideal candidate brings strong field-sales experience, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage a high-activity territory. Role Details
Description Full-time, W2, field-based Schedule Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Semi-flexible schedule after training Responsibilities
Develop and execute territory growth strategies across Utah’s major metro and surrounding regions Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners in pain management, behavioral health, psychiatry, addiction medicine, MAT clinics, rehab programs, and outpatient clinics Prospect and secure new business through structured outreach, onsite facility visits, and solutions-based selling Conduct needs assessments and present toxicology testing services aligned to clinic workflows and patient populations Navigate multi-stakeholder environments (providers, administrators, clinical directors, operations teams) with professionalism Guide prospects through the full sales cycle, including discussions on service offerings, onboarding, and workflow adoption Provide consistent post-sale support to maintain retention, service satisfaction, and long-term account value Track competitive trends and emerging toxicology needs to adjust territory strategy Collaborate with internal teams to support onboarding, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth service delivery Manage daily travel across the territory and maintain a reliable, in-person presence with assigned accounts Document all sales activity and pipeline forecasting within CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) Other duties as assigned Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 2+ years of field sales experience (any industry) Proven history of meeting or exceeding quotas in competitive environments Experience in territory or field-based sales requiring frequent client travel Strong communication and relationship-building skills across diverse clinical and administrative teams Skilled in negotiation, presenting, and managing a full sales cycle Highly organized and comfortable operating with minimal supervision Proficiency with CRM systems and virtual communication tools Willingness to travel frequently throughout Utah Preferred Qualifications: Healthcare sales experience, especially in Toxicology or lab services Pain management or interventional pain practices Behavioral health, psychiatry, addiction treatment centers Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) clinics Rehabilitation and recovery programs Outpatient medical groups or specialty clinics Understanding of clinical workflows and diagnostic testing programs Familiarity with regulatory environments (HIPAA, CLIA) Experience building or growing a territory through proactive outreach Strong analytical skills for activity tracking, outreach strategy, and territory development Education & Certification
Education : Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred but not required Job Type & Compensation
Job Type : Full-time, W2 Salary & Compensation Base salary: $75,000 annually Performance-based bonuses; high performers are typically on track to earn six figures within their first year (bonus details provided by the hiring manager) Travel and mileage reimbursement Company credit card provided for approved expenses Benefits
