Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Reconstruction Estimator with a primary focus on reconstruction following water, vehicle, and tree impacts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, preparing accurate estimates, and working closely with homeowners, insurance agents, and contractors to facilitate seamless project execution. This role requires expertise in Xactimate, reconstruction estimating, insurance claim processes, and client relations.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive inspections of roofs, structures, and tree impacts to assess damage, repair needs, and replacement requirements. Ensure proper and safe ladder/equipment setups during all inspections. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for both insurance and retail projects, including labor, materials, and equipment. Provide color and material selection guidance for clients to ensure project satisfaction as needed. Utilize Xactimate estimating software and update PSA CRM, Captivated, and Microsoft 365 to track project progress and documentation. Communicate effectively with insurance agents, adjusters, and homeowners regarding the status of claims and project timelines. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and contracts to ensure accurate bidding and compliance with project requirements. Obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors for cost-effective project execution. Assist in contract negotiations, change orders, and budget adjustments as needed. Stay up to date on local building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience as a Reconstruction Estimator. Strong knowledge of mitigation and reconstruction processes, installation techniques, and damage assessment, along with interior and exterior repairs. Proficiency in Xactimate estimating software and experience with PSA CRM, Captivated, and Microsoft 365. Familiarity with insurance claim processes and working with adjusters. Ability to perform safe and proper ladder/equipment setups for inspections. Excellent analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client and contractor interactions. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and scope-of-work documents. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed. Experience in sales or customer-facing roles within the restoration or construction industry.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with storm damage assessment and insurance restoration projects. OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus. Background in commercial and residential roofing. Familiarity with building codes, construction practices, and restoration standards. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8am-430pm, including occasional overtime or weekend work depending on project deadlines. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.
