Under minimal supervision using independent judgment and decision-making, supervises a team of electromechanical assemblers and testers to meet Company goals in the areas of quality, on-time delivery and cost. Is a key member of the manufacturing team who may lead kaizen events in support of continuous process improvement and lean manufacturing. Monitors production schedules, material and human resources * Conducts kaizen events toward the goal of continuous process improvement * Determines workforce requirements to meet production schedules * Creates and maintains reports and production documentation to reflect schedules, performance, quality and on-time delivery * Makes recommendations regarding materials, equipment and processes Supervision: Four year degree in manufacturing, manufacturing engineering or related field preferred but not required * At least two years of trade school with an emphasis in mechanical design or electronic technology or more than five years of relevant experience * At least five years supervisory experience in a manufacturing plant, preferably in an electromechanical environment for the aerospace/defense industry * Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles Able to read documents and computer screens * Able to move around an office building and up stairs * Able to type on a computer keyboard * Able to communicate through a telephone * Pay Range: $52,000.00 - $62,000.00 per hour Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
