Summary
Under minimal supervision, the candidate will supervise a team of electromechanical assemblers and testers to achieve quality, on‑time delivery, and cost objectives, while leading kaizen events for continuous process improvement.
Typical Responsibilities
Monitors production schedules, material and human resources
Conducts kaizen events to promote continuous process improvement
Identifies and solves operational problems
Determines workforce requirements to meet production schedules
Creates and maintains reports and production documentation reflecting schedules, performance, quality and on‑time delivery
Sets and enforces high safety standards
Hires, trains, evaluates, and directs employees
Recommends improvements regarding materials, equipment and processes
Supervision
Supervises teams of assemblers, adjusters, and test technicians.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Four‑year degree in manufacturing engineering or related field preferred but not required
At least two years of trade school with emphasis in mechanical design or electronic technology, or more than five years of relevant experience
Minimum five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing plant, preferably electromechanical within aerospace/defense
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Physical Requirements
Able to read documents and computer screens
Able to move around an office building and stairs
Able to sit/stand for long periods
Able to type on a keyboard
Able to communicate by telephone
Able to communicate with coworkers
Pay Range
$52,000.00 – $62,000.00 per hour
Bonus
Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in the applicable bonus plan.
