- Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries related to access procedures and security-related matters.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and other security-related events as required by site procedures.
- Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding any security-related issues or emergencies.
- Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations and/or coordinating with emergency services.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A TSA issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
