As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. - Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific protocols.
- Provide customer service by assisting individuals entering or exiting the premises and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
- Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, applying problem-solving skills and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Document observations, incidents, and actions taken during the shift, maintaining clear and accurate records as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
- Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate, supporting site personnel and first responders during drills and actual events.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
