Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $140,000 to $150,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
* Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, and internal controls, ensuring alignment with GAAP and company objectives.
* Lead the month-end close process and review general ledger reconciliations and financial statements.
* Analyze financial trends, variances, and departmental reports to support strategic decision-making.
* Collaborate with department heads and senior leadership to provide financial insights and support planning initiatives.
* Supervise accounting staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and workflow management.
Requirements:
* A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is preferred.
* Extensive experience managing financial reporting, audits, and budgeting processes.
* Strong understanding of financial systems, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop accounting teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
* High attention to detail and analytical ability to interpret complex financial data.
* Experience working with auditors, regulators, and external financial advisors.
