Position Status: Full-time temporary (35hours per week)

Hours: 12pm - 8pm weekdays; 9am-1pm Saturdays 1x/month perperson/in-person

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Enrollment Counselor is responsible for guidingprospective students through the enrollment process, from initial inquiry toregistration completion. This role requires strong communication skills,customer service orientation, and the ability to connect with prospectivestudents to understand their unique needs and goals. As an EnrollmentCounselor, you'll be instrumental in guiding students to their educationaljourney. This role primarily involvessupport and detailed management of the student recruitment, admissions, andenrollment processes, providing comprehensive advising from the point ofinquiry to enrollment. You will be a key contributor to meeting our enrollmentgoals and upholding the institution's commitment to educational excellence.

Note: This is a temporary position.

DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Admissions andRecruitment Support - Provide inbound and outbound communication fromprospective students and their families, ensuring strong customer service andconsultative student recruitment with the goal of making Duquesne the student'sfirst university choice. Support the admissions and enrollment processes,including but not limited to reading applications, making admissions decisions,supporting events and campus visits. Proactively respond and outreach to,engage and follow up with interested prospective students and re-admittedstudents, understanding their needs and aligning them with suitable programs.

Database Management: Keep track of studentinteractions and progress using institutional CMR and database systems.

Presentations & Meetings: Give general informationsession presentations to groups of students and families visiting campus, andconduct 1:1 individual meetings to provide consultative recruitment and assiststudents by providing information about the university, admissions, andacademic programs. Abilityto work evenings until 8pm and occasional weekend work required.

Goal Achievement: Using your talents and problem-solving skills, recommend ways to helpmeet specific enrollment targets, analyzing data to develop strategies forimproved performance.

Achieve monthly goals for campus visits, contactedprospects, completed applications, and semester based closed enrollments on asemester-basis.

InterdepartmentalCollaboration. Coordinate with other departments, including financial aid,registrar, and academic advising, to ensure a seamless student experience.

Completes other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

1 - 2years' experience in customer relations, sales, higher education, particularlyin admissions, financial aid, student accounts, or advising and registration orrelated fields.

Familiaritywith academic programs and offerings.

Proficientin using technology for communication and data management.

Note: Experience in higher education admissions office,managing student ambassador groups, and/or with event planning can substitutefor experience/education requirements.

Preferredqualifications:

Associate's degree in business or related field from an accredited institution.

Familiarity with Slate and Bannerpreferred.

Alternately, thesuccessful candidate may possess any equivalent combination of experience andtraining, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required toperform the essential job functions. This includes, but is not limited to, thefollowing:
