POSITIONSUMMARY:

As a memberof the Campus Visit Experience and Enrollment Event Management (CVEEEM) team,the primary purpose of the Enrollment and Event Specialist's job is to greetall enrollment visitors, answer telephone calls, and provide event support forthe CVEEEM team. The incumbent will also provide overall clerical support forthe Enrollment Management departments. They must always present a positiveimage as a representative of Duquesne University.

DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Answers multiple phone lines, screens andrefers calls, takes messages for office. Provide the front-line assistanceutilizing all in-person and digital engagement channels, including, but notlimited to, phone calls, visitors, e-mail, live chat, inbox, and Slate andBanner systems. Assists in managing the student ambassadors with campustours ensuring excellent customer service across the University.

Provide assistance with related tasks for undergraduateadmissions, graduate admissions, and financial aid during peak seasons of thecycle.

Deliver top-notch customer service to all visitors for theEnrollment Management offices. Greets visitors, answers routine questions andprovides a variety of information to guests including distributing maps,bulletins, brochures and related material regarding Duquesne University and thePittsburgh area.

Provides CVEEEM team with logistical andclerical support for all visits and events. Participates in all specialadmission events such as DUQ Days, Counselor Visits, Admitted StudentDays, etc.

Performs other related duties as assigned tosupport the functions of a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises student employees only.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

1-3 years ofexperience of relevant work experience.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with Banner and/or Slatepreferred

Alternately, the successful candidate may possess any equivalent combination ofexperience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilitiesrequired to perform the essential job functions. This includes, but is notlimited to, the following:

Exceptional interpersonal andcommunication skills, both oral and written;

Strong information technology skillswith proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and integrated databases;

Ability to exceedrecruitment goals, facilitate staff development opportunities, exhibitteamwork, model analytical & critical thinking, engage in creative problemsolving and demonstrate high levels of time management and organizationalskills.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with theUniversity Community.
